[Embed Fonts] Tab

The [Font Embedding] tab in the SkyPDF Pro Driver print settings allows you to configure the fonts to be embedded in the PDF.

“Font Embedding” refers to embedding information about the fonts used in a PDF into the PDF.
Embedding fonts increases the file size, but it also allows the PDF to be viewed and printed without losing the layout in another environment where those fonts are not installed.
If fonts are not embedded, the file size can be reduced, but the file may display differently depending on the environment and application in which it is viewed.
Embed All Fonts Check this option if you want to embed all fonts used in the original document to the PDF file.
  • These are the recommended settings for viewing in different environments and for long-term storage of files.
  • When the standard is PDF/A or PDF/X, be sure to assign the settings to [Embed All Fonts].
Optimize with Region The most appropriate fonts for the operating system of each region(Europe and Japan) will be embedded into the PDF file to display the PDF accurately.
The number of fonts to be embedded will be smaller than when [Embed All Fonts] is specified.
